My interest in photography has consistently developed throughout my three years at college, resulting in a foundation of skill and enthusiasm built on the desire to want to know more. Consequently I seek an environment in which to not only too further develop my existing skills, but also experiment and push the boundaries of photography.
The images I have submitted focus on a range of the topics I have experimented with, ranging from live music and nightclubs, to the environment and portraits
Two of the images are from my recent photography assignment ‘being green’, where I found an aesthetic beauty in man made industrial structures, as well as a desire to return with on another occasion to create different “moods”
Outside of college I have experimented with camera work in nightclubs, using live bands and on other occasions with some of the more technical aspects of the premises. I would welcome the opportunity to create further diversity in my work by incorporating the use of movement.
I am now at the stage in my development where I wish to embrace the challenge of a new learning environment. One that not only challenges and stimulates, but also one that offers a sound and structured approach to learning, coupled with the opportunity to experiment and work alongside specialist cutting edge projects and facilities. This will allow me to achieve my desire to create a unique photographic style, built on skill, and a platform of enhanced confidence from which to push boundaries of creativity.
